The Wedding of Steve and Karen Holcomb

Weddings

When I met Steve and Karen last fall for their engagement shoot, I knew we were gonna have a blast. Seriously, we couldn’t stop laughing the whole shoot. Their wedding, was no different. I felt right at home, (I even made it onto Moms fridge!). There’s nothing more important to me, than being a part of someones wedding, as opposed to being a worker at a wedding. I think we definitely accomplished that this time. With a beautiful day, and a gorgeous location, I think the day could not have been any more perfect. Now as I began to upload these photos, I relived it all again. Took a lot of tough decision making to choose which ones to share because there are so many gems. I mean at some point, there would be so many images you would have to devote a day to just looking at them! I hope you love these photos as much as I love this couple, and their families! Congratulations Steve and Karen! I am so happy to forever be a part of your family!

Doro and Gretchen – A Spiritual New York Wedding
The last rain drops had fallen just a few hours before Gretchen and Doro's wedding. Quite literally, the atmosphere was approving their plans for their outdoor ceremony in Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. While things were a bit wet, it absolutely lent itself well to their wedding full of love and positive energy. Where to begin... I really couldn't narrow down photos for this post. I have a whole log of photos that I wanted to share. Unfortunately, you might be here for a month scrolling through them if I did that! I can't be blamed if you did not show up for work tomorrow because you spent all night looking at their photos, so I had to cut them ...

Jose and Ianina – A Wedding in Peru
Jose and Ianina are such a fun couple. Ianina is my mother in-laws boss, so anything other than perfect was not an option (well it never is, but this time even moreso!). Now I have hundreds of edited photos, seriously, narrowing it down to these was the hardest of any wedding so far. I have so many favorites! I might even post more, definitely going to make a separate post with their civil union and engagement shoot! We got 30 minutes in a park in Barranco, Peru to do their formals. The reception was about 1 hour away from the church, so squeezing a shoot in on the way meant limited time and limited options. Barranco is a beautiful area, but ...

John and Mallary – Woodwinds, Branford, CT
John and Mallary are such an awesome couple. I was so happy to be able to shoot their wedding. They were so much fun and so lovely and easy going. Their wedding was one of the hottest days of the summer and it was definitely a struggle to do the portraits and family shoots with the sun blaring down around 96 degrees. Poor John was sweating through his suit for a few photos. I think it was worth it at the end of the day though. I decided as the first wedding post on the new site, I wanted to share some of my favorites of these two. I could have shared another 50 photos easily, they photographed so well together, but I did not want to overlo ...
