Andrew and Kellys – Rustic Fall Wedding at Crystal Peak
We rushed outside when there was a break in the rain. As everyone got situated outside, the skies opened back up. It could not have been more perfect if we planned it. While we were ready to just sit in the rain, it was officially called to relocate back inside. A common theme that every couple seems to give as advice is "things aren't always going to go your way, but at the end of you day you marry the person you love". And their wedding was no exception. The threat of rain loomed all day, and it held out until everyone was dressed and ready to take photos outside. While the outdoor ceremony was rained out, the love still flowed just as happ ...

Dave and Paige – A Farmington Club Wedding
Dave and Paige are an amazing couple! When I asked what one of their favorite stories was about themselves, they gave the perfect response. When Dave met Paige, he told his mom she was the one! They did not start dating until 7 years later.  Its things like that, which only make a day like this so much more special! They planned a perfect Bohemian Glamour themed wedding, down to every last detail. Including what I thought was super cool, but home made cook books with some of their families favorite recipes! I mean really? How awesome is that! (p.s. I am gonna need a pdf of that, I didn't get one and I need all the help in the kitchen I can ge ...

Jono and Hayeons Wickham Park Wedding
I met Jono and Hayeon last year at Jonos Brothers wedding. Let me tell you, the Pilattis know how to throw and awesome wedding, and my second Pilatti wedding was no let down. Jono and Hayeon are an amazing couple, so amazing in fact they had 2 Weddings! One here at Wickham Park and a second with all of Nicks family flying around the world to join them! The most memorable moment for these two of their day was setting eyes on each other for the first time. With the scenic backdrop of Hartford behind Jono and the lovely gardens of Wickham Park behind Hayeon, I can't blame them! The rain held out just long enough for a perfect ceremony, and when ...

Jim and Jeanette Gangi’s Woodwinds Wedding
I always struggle picking the best photos to tell the story of someones day on the blog. And Jim and Jeanette is no exception. There really are just so many photos I love of their amazing day. From start to finish, everything went perfectly, and couldn't have been more beautiful! I normally would say more here, but I really can't. When something is so perfect, you just have to admit it, and stop trying to come up with words to describe it! I hope you enjoy! A huge thanks to everyone who made it possible! Luke and Kara – The Mystic Inn
The biggest surprise of Luke and Karas big day was "A surprise rainstorm during dinner. We were just about to start eating the main course when wind blew in the tent knocking glasses off tables and swinging the chandeliers."  That rainstorm, led to one of my favorite images! I would like to thank the quick passing storm for giving us a beautiful double rainbow! It really added to an already extra special day. Their vintage romance wedding, was truly a romantic evening that was perfect from start to finish. When asked what advice they would give other couples planning their wedding, they simply responded "Something will inevitably go ...

Doug and Laurens Aqua Turf
Doug and Lauren was one of those weddings that was so perfect and emotion filled! From start to finish, we felt like we were a part of their family.  So many hands took part in their amazing day! And with the attitude "if things go wrong, its still going to feel like the perfect day in the end, so just enjoy every second." We couldn't help but feel that energy throughout the day. Though I must say, nothing could have gone more perfect for these two.   The day started with some on and off rain, so we showed off the beautiful gown by Mariella Creations under the awning at the hotel. But of course this is the 2nd wedding at St. Margar ...

Mike and Lily – City Love in Hartford
I met Mike and Lily in a coffee shop in Old Saybrook. They found me through some photos they had seen of a couple from the same venue they were getting married at. I knew as soon as we sat down, we would be a perfect match to shoot their Wedding! These two radiate happiness. Like really, I don't think I asked either of them to smile once for this whole shoot. This is just them being happy that we spent two hours wandering around Hartford. I mean really, it doesn't get better than that. What really seals the deal on how amazing these two are, is that we were aiming to do this shoot in Bushnell Park. As I pulled into Hartford at 7:30am, I noti ...

A Durham Romance – Jon and Lindsey at Herzig Tree Farm
As I am sure many of you have guessed, 2015 has been so busy, I have yet to even update my website. With the snow delaying EVERYTHING (except newborns) every session kept pushing and pushing until things cleared up. So now I am here. With dozens of things to post, and never enough time to post them in the heat of wedding season. So I decided to start here with Jon and Lindsey. While they are neither the oldest, or most recent shoot, I wanted to get them up quickly and share with you all as my first of many spring/summer updates for 2015. The next few weeks have plenty in store as far as updates, from newborns to engagements, to weddings. Now ...

Nick and Holly – Chez Josef Wedding
Nick and Holly, what can I say, it rained all morning on your wedding day, and then the sun opened up and it was a perfect day! I met Nick and Holly in the fall of 2013 for their engagement shoot, and it was an instant match. We definitely had a great time at that shoot, and their wedding was even better. A great group of people came together to celebrate the marriage of a perfect couple. My favorite part of it all, is that it won't end here, I know for years to come we will be in touch, including when we get Nick in his jeep to splash some mud on your dress in our "trash the dress" shoot! I wish I had more words to share, but for some reason ...
