Jose and Ianina – A Wedding in Peru

Weddings

Jose and Ianina are such a fun couple. Ianina is my mother in-laws boss, so anything other than perfect was not an option (well it never is, but this time even moreso!). Now I have hundreds of edited photos, seriously, narrowing it down to these was the hardest of any wedding so far. I have so many favorites! I might even post more, definitely going to make a separate post with their civil union and engagement shoot!

We got 30 minutes in a park in Barranco, Peru to do their formals. The reception was about 1 hour away from the church, so squeezing a shoot in on the way meant limited time and limited options. Barranco is a beautiful area, but it is all stairs. So we only got to take a few photos as it was too hard to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs to get other shots. I still think they came out great though! Keep your eyes peeled for their engagement and civil union shoot soon!

Doro and Gretchen – A Spiritual New York Wedding
The last rain drops had fallen just a few hours before Gretchen and Doro's wedding. Quite literally, the atmosphere was approving their plans for their outdoor ceremony in Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. While things were a bit wet, it absolutely lent itself well to their wedding full of love and positive energy. Where to begin... I really couldn't narrow down photos for this post. I have a whole log of photos that I wanted to share. Unfortunately, you might be here for a month scrolling through them if I did that! I can't be blamed if you did not show up for work tomorrow because you spent all night looking at their photos, so I had to cut them ...

The Civil City Wedding of Edwin and Lina – Lima, Peru
Edwin and Lina found me in the knick of time. I was preparing to leave my winter stay in Peru, when the reached out for their wedding date. Unfortunately, I was scheduled to leave their big day, but I was definitely fortunate enough to shoot their Civil Wedding and Engagement shoot.  A 1 1/2 hour taxi ride to the outskirts of Lima, Peru to shoot their civil ceremony, and then the same taxi ride back to the little section of Lima called Barranco. There is always a language barrier when I shoot weddings in Peru, but as always, me mimicking the poses gets results. I hope you enjoy looking, as much as I did shooting.

Back in December, I was honored when I was approached by The Connecticut Bride magazine for use of a photo taken at The Lake of Isles of Jon and Sarah Zielinski. Its always exciting to be able to see some of your recent work on display in a magazine. Sorry for the poor scan quality.
