Dave and Paige – A Farmington Club Wedding

Weddings

Dave and Paige are an amazing couple! When I asked what one of their favorite stories was about themselves, they gave the perfect response. When Dave met Paige, he told his mom she was the one! They did not start dating until 7 years later.  Its things like that, which only make a day like this so much more special!

They planned a perfect Bohemian Glamour themed wedding, down to every last detail. Including what I thought was super cool, but home made cook books with some of their families favorite recipes! I mean really? How awesome is that! (p.s. I am gonna need a pdf of that, I didn’t get one and I need all the help in the kitchen I can get!)

Their first dance to Ed Sheerans Think Out Loud, was an absolutely perfect moment, with a gorgeous dress spinning about. And I had to include some bouquet toss shots, that I normally don’t in these post, because Paige threw the bouquet like a boss, and Dave matched it!

And to get into the sentimental moment, that really hit me in the feel goods. Daves wedding ring is that of his late grandfather, and I happened to be outside, at just the moment when he showed his grandmother his ring. I mean come on, really? You trying to make people cry tears of beauty?

With all the planning and thought, they threw an absolutely spectacular day, and every vendor came through and provided a perfect evening.

Spring/Summer Issue of Connecticut Bride Magazine
Back in December, I was honored when I was approached by The Connecticut Bride magazine for use of a photo taken at The Lake of Isles of Jon and Sarah Zielinski. Its always exciting to be able to see some of your recent work on display in a magazine. Sorry for the poor scan quality.

Mike and Melissa Sottile at The Waterview
Mike and Melissa reached out to me to do their engagement shoot and wedding last year. We caught the very last autumn leaves left on the trees on an early morning. It was a fun shoot then, and it was awesome meeting these two, and becoming a part of their lives for forever. This wedding went straight to my heart. Watching Mike choke up during his vows, and Melissa's joy and laughter throughout the ceremony. Sometimes you just know when you are a part of something special. And this was one of those special ones... I want to say thank you Mike for his service. I remember during his best man's speech, everyone hooted and hollered for Mike feeli ...

Kristin and Alicia Ridge Wedding at The Branford House
Okay, so whats better than an amazing Bride and Groom? Two Amazing Brides! Double the beautiful details! And to top it off, the most infectious laughter. I mean really, I was shooting on a 200mm lens from far away, and I hear one laugh, and another laugh, and all I could do was laugh too! Their entire day was no different, smiles across the board! To give you an idea of how awesome they are, I just straight up copy and pasted their advice to couples planning their wedding day. Most couples say the same thing, but these two worded it perfectly. It's a marriage, not a wedding. Don't lose sight of your partner when you're planning. The process ...
